At Hillmorton High School students have the opportunity to take part in a large number of co-curricular activities.  There is a sign up day early in the year.  Hillmorton students continue to enjoy participating and succeeding in a number of external competitions.

Clubs and activities vary throughout the year and are dependent on numbers, staffing and student interests but recent offerings have included the following activities:

Co curricular Leadership opportunities

Many of these activities are student led or have the opportunity for students to serve and undertake leadership roles.

There are a number of committees which include – Arts Committee, Whānau House Committees. 

Students also get to go on a number of school trips including trips to Mount Cook, skiing at Mount Hutt, sports tournaments across the country and even skydive on a tour of the South Island.  There are also a number of Outdoor and Adventurous Education activities within and beyond our local area.  Students get the opportunity to camp regularly, hike a variety of terrain, go mountain biking and kayak in the sea to camp on Quail Island.
