Ten middle school students represented Hillmorton High School on Wednesday 13 November, participating as two teams of five in a competition which included 18 teams from 12 schools. One of our teams made it to the final against St Margaret’s and missed the gold medals by one point in the final judging! They had to answer questions about an ethical case involving giving to charities and the relative effectiveness of charities (a really tricky one!), and then respond to the other team’s discussion of parents’ use of tracking apps to monitor their children. They showed great insight on these issues, and the range of other topics that were covered on the day. Very proud of all the students!
