Important information – please read
Kia ora Whānau,
Hillmorton High School is currently in the process of changing our network to a newer and more secure internet.
Next week we will have engineers from N4L in school to assist with the transition. Network for Learning is the government funded organisation who provide internet for all state and state-integrated schools and kura across Aotearoa.
Students will be required to change some settings on the device they use at school in order to connect to the new network. The instructions for doing this have been emailed to all students and they can give this a try in whānau group time on Friday and / or at home over the weekend.
We wanted to keep whānau informed of what is happening so they can remind ākonga to check their emails and / or offer support and help where needed. You will notice we have attached a poster that also has all the instructions for doing this.
Instructions provided to students:
To enable your devices to connect to the new network, please follow the instructions below:
1. On your devices, open any browser (Chrome, Safari, Firefox, etc.) and type hillmorton.n4l.co.nz
2. A portal will be displayed. Click Next.
3. Sign in with your school email.
4. After signing in, follow the instructions shown on the screen.
5. After completing this process, your device will connect to the new network: Hillmorton Devices. A detailed guide is attached to this email with step-by-step details. Please refer to it if you encounter any issues.
Ākonga do not need to worry if they are not able to make the switch to the new network or something goes wrong during the process. They will still be able to connect to our existing network and the engineers and technicians will be in classes next week to work through the process.
If you have any questions please feel free to email me at richardsl@hillmorton.school.nz
Ngā mihi
Ms Richards
Associate Principal
