After much success this term, our winter sports teams head into a two-week break before coming back for the finals season of our winter sport. Term 3 is scheduled to have five games before Winter Tournament Week at the end of August.

Our various winter sports teams have played each week with Hockey and Korfball on Monday nights, badminton, table tennis, football and netball on Wednesdays and basketball on Friday evenings. We have over 24 sports teams competing in the Canterbury Schools Sports Competition across the week.

We have our Junior Netball team competing in the South Island Secondary Schools Junior Netball competition in the first week of the school holidays from the 8-10th July at Hagley Park.

At the end of the winter season in late August/early September our Senior A Football team travel to Dunedin for the South Island Secondary Schools Linwood Competition, our Senior A Netball travel up to Nelson for the South Island Secondary School Netball Tournament. We have two basketball teams competing in South Island Tournaments and our Juniors (Year 9 and 10) team are heading to Dunedin for their zone premierships and our Senior A basketball team are heading to Greymouth for their South Island ‘Shick A’ Premierships, in the hopes of making it yet again to Nationals in Palmerston North in October this year.

We wish all teams competing in their final week of sport for the term the best of luck and look forward to following all our senior and junior A team’s success on their way to South Island tournaments coming up.
