Sports Program

The Purpose of sport in years 7 & 8

The primary aim of the sports programme is to encourage students to stay active and enjoy themselves.

Beyond that, the sports programme for Year 7 & 8 is divided into two key strands:

Weekly Sport – This offers students the opportunity to try something new. While there is a competitive aspect to these games, there is no overall champion at the end of the season. Students don’t need any prior experience to join these competitions, making it a great way to explore different sports.

Tournaments/Championships – This is the more competitive side of the programme. Students participating in these events often have prior experience and demonstrate a certain level of skill and knowledge. For these occasions, students are selected to represent our school, and these events are not open for beginners or casual participation.
