Connecting Learning to the Real World
Outdoor Education is a vital component of the curriculum at Hillmorton High School, offering camps for students from Year 9 to Year 12. Year 9 students enjoy a 3-day camp at Orton Bradley on Banks Peninsula, which embodies our core values of Tūrangawaewae, Whanaungatanga, Mana, and Ako.
The camp is focused on strengthening relationships through traditional Kiwi activities like mountain biking, kayaking, orienteering, and cooking on portable gas cookers.
