Experiences from traumatic events show that getting back into regular routines can help with recovery.
We will begin school tomorrow with a full school assembly in the main quad if fine. (If wet we will have a Middle School Assembly in the hall period one and Senior School assembly in period two.) We invite all parents and whānau to attend if they would like to join us at this assembly. Following the assembly we will follow with normal routines but students will have the opportunity to write down their thoughts and messages at break times in the library. An important way of responding to such an incident is to be kind and caring to all and one. Our value of “Turangawaewae – belonging – a place to stand” is just so important. We are such a diverse school and yet we are ‘one’, we all belong at our school.
