Kia ora Whānau of Year 10 Ākonga
Your child can now view their results for the Common Assessment Activities (CAAs) for Literacy and Numeracy in their NZQA login.
Here is the link to the NZQA Guide to Online Results
If your child has passed, they will not need to do these again in 2026. Those who have not passed on this ‘first attempt’, will now have an idea of the content and can get some feedback on the skills or areas they need to focus on by looking at the table in their NZQA results.
It looks like this:
Here are the links documents telling you how to understand the results:
Understanding the Numeracy CAA
There will be two opportunities to do the CAAs again in Year 11, and our teaching and learning programmes will help them to continue to build their Literacy and Numeracy Skills so they can be more successful in future assessments.
Pasifika Whānau Committee
Week 5: 6:00 – 7:00pm Tuesday 4 November
We are facilitating this opportunity for parents/caregivers of our Pacific students to meet together and with school leaders. The hope is to form a group which can meet again from time to time in 2026, to have ongoing input into our school direction as it relates to our Pacific learners and community.
Not returning in 2026 …..
Thank you to those who have already notified us that you will not be returning in 2026.
If your student is not returning in 2026 please let the office know so we can arrange a sign out card for the end of year. This does not include Year 13.
Phone 338 5119 or email: robertsk@hillmorton.school.nz
If students did not collect their exam admission slip they can collect it from the Student Office, 45 minutes prior to your exam starting. Students will not be permitted into exams without their admission slip.
Please remind students to bring this to every exam.
All students sitting exams are required to wear school uniform (except Y13).
Most students have been given an Information Sheet along with their Admission Slip.
Reminder: Absences and Appointments
A reminder that if your child is going to be absent from school, or has an appointment during school hours, please report this through the usual channels by 9.00 am.
This helps us to keep accurate records, ensures student safety, and avoids unnecessary follow-up work for the office staff.
Thank you for your cooperation.
If your child is absent, late or needs to leave early for any reason, please notify us in one of the following ways:
-
SchoolBridge App (download the app on to your mobile device via App stores) please ensure you accept third party on first sign in.
