Whole School Pōwhiri 

The Pōwhiri is a welcome ceremony to all new students, teachers and groups that work with Hillmorton High School. Everyone is welcome to attend.

Dates & times

When: 10am, 1st February

Where: Hillmorton High School



10:00 am

  • Year 7, 8 go to Base Camp
  • Year 9 meet at the Library
  • Year 10 meet in the Whare
  • Year 11, 12 and 13 meet in the Hall


11:00 am

  • Whole school meet in front of Whare for Pōwhiri


12:00 pm

  • Kai in the Quad. Share lunch together


12:45 pm

  • Whanau House Assemblies
  • Tutor meetings (in tutor rooms)


1:30 pm

  • End of day
