Kia ora koutou

We hope that you and your whānau have been keeping well during these unusual times. It is a good opportunity for many of us to spend quality time as a family.

As the Ministry of Health has extended the Level 4 lockdown until Tuesday 24th August at 11:59pm, we are now preparing our Learn @ Home online progamme. It will be ready for use on Tuesday 24th August.

We have made the decision to postpone all senior exams at this stage and will decide at a later date as to whether or not we reschedule these.  On Tuesday morning you can expect a phone call from your child’s whānau group Kaiako. We need to urgently identify students without devices or internet, and we just want to touch base with each of our students.

We will be in touch over the weekend with senior students who regularly use a chromebook from the library. If you have internet at home we are able to lend you the chromebook you use at school. On Tuesday afternoon there is a whānau group programme for all students to work through, and all other subject work will be available on the Learn@Home website. Please see the separate document re how this works.

This is a great opportunity for families to be engaged in their children’s learning, so take this opportunity to ask questions and get involved.

If you have any concerns or questions please email the teachers, who will be more than willing to help in any way they can.

Please take care over the next period of lockdown and we will update any information as it comes to hand.

Nga mihi
