Hillmorton High School Enter Timaru Tournament Semi-Finals

After our nation’s lockdown due to COVID-19, football and recreational activities locked down as well. Tournaments were cancelled, and our football season was also in doubt. However, thankfully after that passed we claimed a spot in the Timaru Football Experience Tournament.

Our first game was against Geraldine High School, winning 7-0, which was a great way to start our form. Our next game was against Lincoln High School losing 1-0, a very tough game which could’ve gone either way. Our next game was against Mountainview College winning 6-1. Our next game was against St Kevins College, winning 7-0, with Cameron Rean scoring 6 goals, a fantastic win.

These results have secured our place in the semi finals of the tournament, guaranteeing us in a top four place in this tournament. We have played well, but we know we can do better, and we are eager to beat Lincoln to reach the final. We thank our students and staff, for your support for our team.
